Help individuals, organizations, and whole communities become the best they can be.
Nancy has over 30 years of budget and organizational development experience at the University of Michigan (U-M), spanning academic, research, central administrative, and auxiliary units. She recently retired from her role as Executive Director of Business Operations for the U-M Office of Research, where she oversaw an annual budget of over $65 million and held responsibility for a range of financial and human resource functions supporting 20+ academic and administrative units that report to the Vice President of Research.
Over the last two decades, Nancy has developed specialty expertise in "untangling" failing budget models and financial systems and then rebuilding them into frameworks that support strategic objectives and give a clear line of sight into the fiscal health of an organization. She is also highly skilled in organizational design and development. With a passion for inclusivity and an ability to “bring everyone along,” she successfully led organizational change management projects at divisional, departmental, and small team levels. With a reputation for integrity and clear but compassionate communication, Nancy was often called upon to work with other university leaders in both formal HR roles and informal coaching and mentorship roles. As a Certified Internal Auditor, she also worked across U-M to identify opportunities for efficiencies, redesign processes, lower costs, and improve communication and partnerships.

Nancy graduated from the University of Michigan – Dearborn School of Management with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Organizational Psychology.
