Help individuals, organizations, and whole communities become the best they can be.
Lori is deeply skilled at translating complex technical data into grounded, actionable wisdom. Before joining Bridgeport, Lori served as an independent consultant, focused on public engagement, communications, and marketing. Lori’s signature strength is bringing people along a process of shared learning and discovery.
For over 10 years, Lori performed public engagement and communications services on half a dozen projects with the City of Ann Arbor. She spent seven years as the marketing director for OHM Advisor (a 400-person architecture, engineering, and planning firm), and five years as marketing director for a software company before launching her own business.
While with OHM Advisors, Lori led public engagement efforts on a number of large projects, including the Northwestern Connector Project, a $40+ million, multiphase transportation project. Lori worked directly with many of OHM’s 50+ municipal client communities and agencies across southeast Michigan, helping them to engage and communicate infrastructure, financial, engineering and project information to their stakeholders. She led the OHM’s marketing and communications strategy as the firm quadrupled in size from a single location to a multi-state, multiple-disciplinary enterprise of 500+ employees. Key highlights include leading a company-wide rebranding effort; conceiving and organizing dozens of educational workshops; and publishing articles on complex engineering concepts, resulting in global inquiries, national recognition, and media mentions.
